Dr. N. Sita Rama Krishna Rao, professionally known as Dr. Krishna, is an Indian educationist, psychologist, life coach, programme director, and motivational speaker from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Renowned for his multidisciplinary academic background and extensive work in inclusive education, mental health, teacher training, and personality development, he has addressed thousands of students and professionals across India. His record-breaking motivational sessions, international recognitions, and contributions to child rights and community development have established him as a distinguished figure in the fields of education and psychology.
Early Life and Background
Dr. Krishna was born and brought up in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, into the family of Sri Nagumantri Satya Vara Prasada Rao and Smt. Jhashi Rani. He later married Parvathi Prasuna, and the couple has a daughter, Sai Charitha. His early interest in learning, teaching, and psychology shaped his academic aspirations from a young age.
A strong advocate of continuous education, Dr. Krishna built one of the most diverse academic portfolios in his field. He holds multiple postgraduate degrees, including M.A. in Economics, Telugu, Psychology, Philosophy, Political Science, and Sociology, along with M.Sc. Psychology, MBA, MSW, M.Ed., M.Phil., and Ph.D. He further strengthened his professional expertise with several postgraduate diplomas such as PGDTA (Acting), PGDTA (Direction), PGDCA, and PGDBA. A Gold Medallist from Andhra University, he developed a strong foundation in educational leadership, psychology, and human development.
Career
Dr. Krishna began his professional journey as a Teacher and Rehabilitation Counselor, where he worked closely with children and individuals requiring personalized guidance. Before fully entering the education sector, he briefly served as a Medical Representative, which honed his interpersonal and communication skills. His commitment to education eventually led him back to teaching, where he spent over 20 years as a Lecturer and later as Principal in reputed Colleges of Education.
A major turning point in his career came when he served as the State Inclusive Education Consultant for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Andhra Pradesh. In this role, he conceptualized and implemented transformative programs such as “Shahita Clubs” and “i-BALA (Inclusive-Building as Learning Aid)”, which helped build inclusive learning environments and improved communication accessibility for children with special needs.
Since 2017, Dr. Krishna has worked with organizations such as Sense International, Motivation India, Childline, and the Department of Women and Child Development, contributing to diverse initiatives in early intervention, disability support, child rights, women empowerment, and community development. His participation in the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign enabled him to deliver large-scale awareness programs for women, youth, and adolescent girls.
He has also collaborated with ChildFund International and Project HOPE, where he trained medical professionals in mental health, psychosocial resilience, and crisis support—contributing to the strengthening of public health systems with psychological expertise.
Currently, Dr. Krishna serves as Programme Director & Associate Professor at Uma Educational and Technical Society, Kakinada, where he leads academic, psychological, and training initiatives. His work includes conducting assessments, counseling, life skills training, and capacity-building programs. He is also a Resource Person for several universities including IGNOU, M.P. Bhoj Open University, Andhra University, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University.
In addition to his academic and consultancy roles, he is the Founder of Samskruthi Voluntary Organization (established in 2006), which continues to work in the areas of education, welfare, and community service.
