Chief Minister of West Bengal

In 2011, Mamata Banerjee led the Trinamool Congress to a historic victory in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections, ending the 34-year rule of the Left Front government.

She became the first woman Chief Minister of West Bengal and introduced several welfare and development initiatives aimed at improving education, healthcare, women's empowerment, and rural development.

Her political philosophy is associated with the slogan "Maa, Maati, Manush" (Mother, Land, People), emphasizing inclusive governance and grassroots development.
