Dr. Subodh Kumar (born 16 February 1966) is an Indian professor of chemistry, chemical research scientist, academician, and academic administrator whose career has encompassed teaching, scientific research, research supervision, institutional leadership, and professional academic service. He completed his secondary education at Nawal Kishore Government High School, Siswa, and appeared for the Matriculation examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna.

Dr. Kumar earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the School of Chemical Science at Devi Ahilya University, Indore, in December 1995. He later completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Impact Assessment (PGDEIA) from the Department of Environmental Biology at Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa, in August 2000.
