Voice of Urdu (™) (abbreviated as VOU) is an international news website and media initiative managed by Axis Softmedia Inc. along with its digital agency arm, Axis Review – The Broadcasting Media. Based in Mumbai, India, the platform intends to serve a diverse, global audience by offering bilingual coverage in both English and Urdu, making it one of the few portals in South Asia that publishes parallel content in both languages.

Voice of Urdu’s journey begins with its founder’s vision of multilingual digital media:
- The domain voiceofurdu.com was formally registered on 3 July 2008.
- In 2010, “Voice of Urdu” was officially registered with the Registrar of Newspapers for India (RNI), under Registration No. MAHURD02197, for a monthly print magazine edition.
- From 2012, the Voice of Urdu YouTube channel began to host literary talks, cultural discussions, poetry recitations, and interviews.
- Over subsequent years, the organization gradually shifted focus. By 2017, VOU had completed its transition into fully digital and audiovisual publishing, ceasing print operations and focusing on web and video content.
This growth reflects a deliberate strategy to move from print/print magazines toward digital-first, multimedia journalism and content dissemination.

Born in Mumbai, India, Syed Manzar Hasan Zaidi is a software expert and entrepreneur who dedicated efforts toward bringing digital solutions to Perso-Arabic publishing. He developed the Manzar Typesetting Tool, a plugin for Adobe InDesign designed to streamline Perso-Arabic typesetting workflows.

- Inactivity exceeding 3 months may lead to suspension; reactivation requires valid justification.
