InPage × Manzar is a 2025 collaborative initiative between InPage, the world’s leading Urdu typesetting software, and Manzar, a renowned developer of Urdu font series and typesetting tools.[1] The partnership marks a transformative step in the evolution of Urdu digital publishing, combining precision engineering with artistic calligraphy to usher in a new era of typographic excellence.

Overview

Announced on October 31, 2025, the collaboration symbolizes a milestone in Urdu digital publishing. InPage, a globally recognized Urdu and Arabic word-processing platform, joined forces with Manzar, the creative studio behind the Manzar Font Series and Manzar Typesetting Tool.[2] The merger aims to preserve the cultural beauty of Urdu calligraphy while adapting it for a digitally connected world.

Background

InPage

Launched in the 1990s, InPage revolutionized Urdu and Arabic typesetting with its intuitive interface and Nastaliq font rendering system.[3] It became the primary tool for newspapers, publishers, and designers working in right-to-left scripts across South Asia and the Middle East.

Manzar

Manzar, established as a boutique design and technology studio, gained acclaim for developing the Manzar Font Series, including Naskh, Noori Nastaliq, Lahori Nastaliq, and Ali Nastaliq. Known for blending aesthetic integrity with digital precision, Manzar became a trusted name among Urdu calligraphers and design professionals.[4]

Merger and Rebranding

On September 30, 2025, InPage officially integrated Manzar’s font assets and design tools. As part of the rebranding, the Manzar and Ali font families were relaunched under unified InPage branding:

  • InPage Naskh (formerly Manzar Naskh)
  • InPage Noori Nastaliq (formerly Manzar Noori Nastaliq)
  • InPage Lahori Nastaliq (formerly Manzar Lahori Nastaliq)
  • InPage Ali Nastaliq (formerly Ali Nastaliq)

This rebranding provides users with a cohesive and future-ready Urdu typography suite within the InPage ecosystem.[5]

Vision and Impact

The collaboration emphasizes innovation rooted in heritage — ensuring that Urdu’s elegant script remains relevant in the age of digital publishing, app design, and global communication. By combining InPage’s technological foundation with Manzar’s artistic excellence, the initiative empowers publishers, designers, and institutions worldwide to celebrate Urdu in its finest digital form.[6]

Legacy

InPage × Manzar is seen as a unification of technology and tradition — preserving the timeless charm of Urdu calligraphy while making it more accessible, modern, and adaptable to future creative needs. The collaboration has been hailed as a landmark in South Asian digital typography.[7]
