Divyank Turakhia is an Indian-born serial entrepreneur, self-made billionaire, and investor. He is best known for founding Media.net, one of the world's largest online advertising businesses. Turakhia sold Media.net in 2016 for $900 million, making it the third-largest acquisition in the online advertising industry.
Early life and career
Turakhia developed an interest in programming at a young age and started programming at the age of 9. By the age of 14, he began internet consulting for large corporations. In 1998, at the age of 16, Turakhia co-founded a web hosting and domain registration business with a borrowed sum of $600 from his father.
Career
In 2005, Turakhia founded Skenzo, a domain advertising startup that quickly became the fastest-growing domain advertising business worldwide. Within two years, Skenzo achieved a valuation of over $200 million. Additionally, in 2014, Turakhia's hosting and domains businesses were acquired by NASDAQ:EIGI for $160 million.
Turakhia's notable achievement came with the establishment of Media.net in 2010. Under his leadership, Media.net grew to become one of the top 5 largest online advertising businesses globally. In 2016, he successfully sold Media.net in an all-cash deal worth $900 million, solidifying his status as a self-made billionaire.

Turakhia has been featured on the list of youngest self-made billionaires globally. He reached his first million at the age of 18, his first hundred million at 23, and crossed the billion-dollar mark at the age of 34 in 2016.
