Dr. Kadarabad Vasudevarao (born 5 August 1970) is an Indian physician and diabetologist based in Kalyan, Maharashtra. He is known for his long-standing medical service in the Kalyan–Murbad–Shahad–Titwala belt, for founding Hridayam Diabetes Centre, and for his role in establishing comprehensive models of diabetes care in the region.

Early Life and Education

Dr. Vasudevarao was born and raised in Kalyan. He completed his schooling at Century Rayon School, Shahad, where he demonstrated strong academic performance in mathematics and science. He pursued his higher secondary education at Birla College, Kalyan. Based on his academic merit in the 12th standard examination, he qualified directly for admission to Seth G.S. Medical College, Parel, Mumbai.

Medical Career

After completing his MD, Dr. Vasudevarao worked as a Clinical Associate at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai for one year. In October 1996, he joined Shree Hospital, Kalyan, where he worked as a consultant physician and intensivist.

During this period, he contributed significantly to:

  • Internal medicine and critical care
  • Cardiac care services
  • Management of infectious diseases

He played a key role in establishing the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Shree Hospital, which served critically ill and cardiac patients from Kalyan and surrounding rural areas. He also worked as a visiting physician at National Rayon Hospital, Ambivali, and participated in community healthcare programs in Kalyan, Murbad, Shahad, and the Titwala belt, including initiatives at Dr. Gogate’s clinic, Murbad.

Hridayam Diabetes Centre

In 2014, Dr. Vasudevarao founded Hridayam Diabetes Centre, one of the first structured and comprehensive diabetes care centres in Kalyan.

The centre introduced an integrated approach to diabetes management, including:

  • Point-of-care investigations
  • Coordinated nephrology, ophthalmology, and diabetic foot care
