Due to her father’s government posting in Jharkhand, the family settled in Ranchi, where she continues to live even after marriage. Education

Dr. Megha Rani completed her schooling under strenuous circumstances. In 2009, during her 10th-grade studies, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor, leading to a four-year battle with severe health challenges. Despite her condition, she successfully passed her 10th and 12th grades, and later completed a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Economics. In addition to her mainstream education, she pursued a Technical Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications, equipping her with modern digital skills useful for both her literary and administrative responsibilities.

Dr. Rani’s personal life is a testament to perseverance. However, she rebuilt herself emotionally and professionally by starting work at a private bank in 2017. Just as life seemed to regain normalcy, she met with a major road accident in 2019 that severely injured the left side of her body. Doctors even considered amputation, but a successful surgery saved her leg. Years later, complications from that incident like rod loosening and ligament damage continue to affect her health, yet she remains determined and optimistic. On 11th May 2025, she got married to Shri Amarjeet Kumar, who was born in 1993 & now both are continuing the journey with strength and hope.

Dr. Megha Rani currently serves as the State President of the Jharkhand National Human Rights Council (NHRC). In this role, she advocates for justice, equity, and dignity across marginalized communities in Jharkhand.
