Sabina Samad completed her Bachelor of Arts from Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Delhi University (2003–2006). She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in History from Jamia Millia Islamia University (since 2019). She completed her schooling from Manav Bharti School, New Delhi.
Career and Social Work
Sabina began her journey in social service in 2008, engaging with communities in Delhi and NCR to organize awareness campaigns and social upliftment programs. Her commitment to public welfare led her to work closely with organizations like Nirmal Jyoti Orphanage and the National Association for the Blind, where she organized skill-building workshops, survival training, and music festivals. Between 2008 and 2013, she collaborated with prominent leaders such as Prof. Dr. Kiran Walia and contributed to HIV/AIDS awareness programs under the guidance of Mr. Oscar Fernandes. She also organized flag hoisting events on Independence Day for minority organizations, attended by senior leaders like Mr. Salman Khurshid.
Political Career
Sabina has played an active role in Indian politics. She formerly served as Secretary, All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) and was the in-charge of the NGO Cell. She worked at the national level within the Indian National Congress, coordinating major events and liaising with international delegations and diplomatic missions. In 2020, she contested as an MLA candidate from Kapu Assembly Constituency in Udupi District on the Janata Dal (Secular) ticket, advocating for the rights of underprivileged communities and aiming to bridge the gap between policy and grassroots realities.
