Career

Sai Sudarshan [2]made his Twenty20 debut for Tamil Nadu in the 2021–22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on November 4, 2021. Shortly after, he made his List A debut in the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy on December 8, 2021, for Tamil Nadu. His consistent performances in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) caught the attention of selectors, leading to his selection in the Gujarat Titans team for the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament.

In April 2022, Sudarshan [3] made his IPL debut for the Gujarat Titans when he replaced Vijay Shankar, who was sidelined due to injury. In his debut match against the Punjab Kings, Sudarshan showcased his batting prowess by scoring 35 runs off 30 balls, including four fours and one six. Despite limited opportunities, he displayed maturity and impressed with his performances. In five matches, he scored 145 runs, including a remarkable innings of 65 runs. Sudarshan's strong domestic season with Tamil Nadu also saw him amass 572 runs in the Ranji Trophy.
