Dr. Asmita More Bahirao
Dr. Asmita More-Bahirao (born as Dr. Asmita Ramesh More) is an Indian obstetrician and gynecologist based in Kalyan, Maharashtra. She is recognized for her extensive clinical work in high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and fertility-focused women’s healthcare.
She has also been actively involved in public health initiatives related to women’s reproductive health through government healthcare systems. In addition to her independent clinical practice, she is known as a founding partner in the establishment of Anantam Hospital, Kalyan, where she is contributing to the development of specialized women’s healthcare services.

Early Life and Family Background
Dr. More-Bahirao was born and brought up in Kalyan, Maharashtra. She completed her primary and secondary education at Shishu Vikas High School, Kalyan, where she secured a merit position in the SSC examination and appeared in the Mumbai merit list. She pursued her higher secondary education at Birla College, Kalyan.
She comes from a family with a strong academic background. Both her parents are retired school teachers, her maternal grandmother served as a headmistress in a municipal school in Ulhasnagar, and her in-laws are also retired teachers. This education-oriented environment played a significant role in shaping her values of discipline, service, and lifelong learning.

Professional Career
In 2016, Dr. More-Bahirao joined BMC Hospital, Bhandup, where she actively participated in women’s health initiatives. She served as in-charge of contraceptive counseling programs, including Copper-T insertion and removal, injectable contraception, family planning counseling, and family planning surgeries.
In December 2019, she joined BMC Hospital, Chembur, continuing her work in obstetrics and gynecology. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, she also worked at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Hospital, Chembur, contributing to gynecology services as well as COVID care.
From 2022 onwards, she began independent clinical practice in Kalyan and surrounding areas, while remaining attached to both private and government healthcare institutions.
