Early Life
Chef Amar Ronald Xavier[3][4] grew up in Varanasi, where the profession of being a chef was not traditionally esteemed. However, Chef Amar's passion for culinary arts burned brightly, and he gained recognition and fame from numerous esteemed organizations as a professional chef. His parents recognized his potential and supported his culinary aspirations, nurturing his dream of becoming a renowned chef. The school principal, Dr. Anita Pauline Sodhi Dey, also played a pivotal role in encouraging and inspiring Amar to pursue his passion. His passion for cooking was inspired from his sister. whom he always follows in the kitchen.
Biography
Chef Amar Ronald Xavier’s culinary journey is a story of courage, resilience, and an unwavering passion for food. After leaving a well-settled job abroad, he returned to pursue his dream and started a cloud kitchen with his childhood friend. When the venture began falling apart after a year, well-wishers advised him to return abroad, but Amar chose to stay and continue the struggle. He started selling homemade pickles and accepting food pre-orders simply to remain in the game. His determination eventually led him to build World Cuisines and Vegano, transforming a challenging beginning into a successful culinary venture.
Having travelled across 37 countries and 7 continents, Chef Amar has explored diverse food cultures and refined his culinary skills through collaborations with renowned chefs including Norman Love, Floyd Cardoz, George Calm Baris, and Citrus Stone. Today, as the owner and culinary director of World Cuisines and Vegano, he brings a wide range of global flavours to the homes of food lovers in Varanasi. What began as a struggle to keep his dream alive has evolved into one of the city’s top-rated food brands, offering customers an opportunity to experience world cuisines and thoughtfully crafted vegetarian offerings without leaving their homes.
