Early Life and Education
Dr. Rohan Gopal Badgujar was born on November 8, 1988, in Dhule, a small town in northern Maharashtra, India. Raised in Kalyan, a town in Thane District, Dr. Rohan comes from a family with a strong tradition of public service. His father, Mr. Gopal Sahadu Badgujar, is a retired civil engineer, and his mother, Mrs. Bharti Badgujar, is a homemaker. Dr. Rohan currently resides in Kalyan with his wife, Mrs. Gaurangi Badgujar, a consultant radiologist practicing in Kalyan.
Dr. Rohan completed his schooling at Guru Nanak English High School in Kalyan and pursued his higher secondary education at RKT College, Kalyan. He earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the reputed Government Medical College, Miraj, in 2011. Later, he pursued a Master of General Surgery (MS) from Government Medical College, Nanded, in 2019, and earned a Diplomate in General Surgery from Delhi. Dr. Rohan has accumulated various fellowships, including Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS), Fellowship in Gastrointestinal Surgery (FIAGES), and Fellowship in the International Society of Coloproctology (FISCP), and is currently advancing his expertise in robotic surgery.
Professional Background
Dr. Rohan began his medical practice initially by serving rural people of Maharashtra where he was appointed the Chief Medical Officer at a primary health centre in Aghai, a small village near shahapur in Maharashtra, India. After this he worked at a government hospital in Nanded where he also secured his master’s degree (MS) in general surgery. This was the place where he acquired major part of his surgical skills. He developed special interest in minimal access suregries and keyhole surgeries a.k.a. laparoscopic surgeries and gastrointestinal surgeries.
Over the next two years, he worked in ESIS HOSPITAL and also served people in difficult times of COVID doing round the clock emergency duties. An exemplary feat of dedication for his profession was evident from the fact that upon being tested positive for covid, he spent 10 days in quarantine and immediately resumed his duties to serve in covid ward on the 11th day.
He also operated on many patients during the same time when many were avoiding surgical work due to COVID restrictions. He did not stop here and went on ahead to complete hi double degree in DNB GENERAL SUREGRY and went ahead to acquire further fellowships in FMAS, FISCP, FIAGES and EFIAGES which gave him special expertise in treating his patients. He has been working as a consultant laparoscopic and general surgeon at many hospitals from Kalyan , Dombivili, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, Badlapur, Titwala areas of Thane district. In 2024, Dr. Rohan co-founded SUN CLINICS, his personal consultation clinic where vision is to create a place where all the patients can be addressed at a single place. He is soon coming up with a hospital setup of his own.
He has developed a huge experience over period of 10+years and has expertise in all kinds of general surgical procedures, abdominal wall reconstructions, all types of hernias, laparoscopic surgeries, laser surgeries , colorectal surgeries, gastrointestinal ssurgeries.
