Early Life

Dr. Sheetal Nair was born on 10th September 1986 in Umreth, Gujarat to Sasidharan Nair and Saraswathy Nair, a Malayali couple from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Dr. Sheetal’s family has founded the Uthirakuzhy Bhavani Amma Memorial home for senile women which supports 150+ women & is operated by Snehatheeram Charitable Trust spread in 5 Acres in Mithirmala, the family’s ancestral place.

Sheetal's father, originally from Kerala, worked in various positions in CRPF & Arvind Mills before founding the DSS Group of Companies in 1983.

In 2007, Sheetal graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Applications degree from Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, where he had been president of the Training Club. Within the same year, Sheetal went to the Symbiosis international University in Pune to obtain a Master’s in Business Administration in Human Resource Management. After obtaining his MBA in 2007, Sheetal further obtained his Doctorate in Training & Development from North Central University, Arizona, USA. While he was pursuing his doctorate, Sheetal was awarded the RBS Prize for best student. At the age of 22, he started work at his father’s organization as a Field Executive travelling the length & breadth of the country before taking the reins of the organization in the next 6 years.

Stint with the GOI & afterwards

Dr. Sheetal Nair got recruited as the VP of the sector skilling council at NSDC in 2017 at the young age of 30, he was the youngest to hold such a portfolio being the only Indian having received a doctorate in Training & Development. While with the NSDC, he pursued his Corporate Law from IIMC (Indian Institute of Management Calcutta) & then with his stint teaching in various universities in India and abroad he ended up researching on Learning Sciences from Harvard Business School & started off with his second PhD. from Parul University based on his experiences in education sector. He's also a certified Psychotherapist from John Hopkins, USA.

Having written & being featured in many national & international media outlets he wrote his first book “The Midas Touch” in 2020, which turned out to be an “Amazon Bestseller” post which he signed a three-book deal with Flipping Pages & this resulted in two more bestsellers in “The Monk’s Secret” & “The Subtle Art of Not Thinking”.

He wrote two Management textbooks based on his experience in the education field, “Communication Skills” & “Human Resource Management”. Dr. Sheetal Nair holds the distinction of being the youngest researcher to hold a Patent & IP on “Big Data in PMS”. He is a three times TED speaker with having a social media presence & following of nearly a million followers.

Awards & Recognition

He is a recipient of the prestigious APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Excellence in 2023. He was declared as the No.1 Entrepreneur to look out for in 2023 by Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman (Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs – Govt. of India). He is a winner of the Gujarat Icon – Award (2022) & the Badge Of Honor (2021) by the ADG Law & Order, Gujarat.
