Early Life & Background

Pratihar holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. His academic background laid a strong foundation for his multifaceted career, which spans over 28 years in multinational companies and more than a decade of passionate advocacy for health and fitness.

Career

Pratihar has over 28 years of experience serving in various multinational companies worldwide. From August 1998 to July 2015, he worked with Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd, earning 32 Non-Traditional Recognitions, including Business Improvement (BI), Certificates of Achievement (CoA), Certificates of Recognition (CoR), and Certificates of Completion (CoC).

His contributions to chemical engineering were recognized with the Bharat Gaurav Puraskar on June 16, 2024, by the KTK Foundation.

Pratihar founded the Step Bank of Health (SBH), a revolutionary concept that treats every step taken as a currency for better health.

  • Orient Book of World Records (2024): Walked 86 million steps (68,820 km) over 4,176 days since May 11, 2013.
  • Lifetime Best Monthly Performance (2024): Walked 1,162.46 km in December.
  • 101 Days Challenge (2025): Walked 3,794 km in 101 days.
