Kamlesh Soni FF, born on February 11, 1987, in Pali, Rajasthan, is a renowned dancer, choreographer, and social activist known for transforming the dance landscape of Pali and Rajasthan while promoting social awareness through his art. Though his formal education ended with the 12th grade, Kamlesh Soni FF displayed an unwavering passion for dance from a young age. His talent first came to light in 1999 when he performed at Krishna College, a school in Pali.

Early Struggles and Determination

In pursuit of his dreams, Kamlesh left home in 2004 to participate in the famous dance reality show Boogie Woogie. Unfortunately, circumstances forced him to return home. Undeterred, he made a significant move to Mumbai in 2006, where he underwent six months of professional dance training. Despite getting opportunities in Mumbai, Kamlesh chose to return to Pali, aiming to uplift local talent by training local children. In 2007, he established the Fast Forward Dance Academy, a platform that became a beacon for aspiring dancers in Pali.

Competitions and Fame

Kamlesh Soni FF gained statewide recognition in 2008 when he won the Dance Rajasthan Dance competition. However, his breakthrough ambition lay in participating in Dance India Dance (DID). In 2009, Kamlesh auditioned but only managed to clear the hip-hop round before failing to progress further in the Kathak round. Despite setbacks, Kamlesh continued to pursue his mission of bringing Pali’s talent onto television screens. His dedication was evident when he trained a student for the junior competition of Chak Dhoom Dhoom (Colors TV) during 2011-12, where the student gained nationwide acclaim.

Commitment to Local Talent and Innovation

Kamlesh Soni FF’s dedication to empowering local talent remained steadfast. He invited Dharmesh Sir, a well-known DID fame choreographer, to Pali to mentor aspiring local dancers. His commitment to transforming dance culture led to several innovations. In 2013-14, Kamlesh choreographed dances for destination weddings during an international workshop in Denmark. During this time, he introduced the UV Dance concept to Rajasthan for the first time, showcasing his ability to merge global trends with local culture.

Social Initiatives and Flash Mobs

Kamlesh Soni FF always prioritized social causes alongside his dance career. In 2015, while working as a dance coach at Central Academy, he organized a massive performance with 800 students on the theme of "Akhand Bharat", receiving a standing ovation. The event earned him recognition as the Best Choreographer of Pali, honored by Pali Collector Neeraj K. Pawan. In 2017, he organized a tribute show, "Jazba Ko Salaam", honoring the Pali police administration. He also pioneered Rajasthan’s first UV Act Dance in Pali, showcasing his commitment to blending dance with social initiatives. Kamlesh also initiated several impactful flash mobs in collaboration with the Pali district administration, including:

  • Swachh Pali Campaign & Sundar Pali Flash Mob – Promoting cleanliness & Involving 300 children

  • Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao flash mob in 2019, spreading awareness about girl child empowerment.

National and International Recognition

Despite failing twice at the World Puppet Carnival, he eventually earned recognition by winning a competition in Thailand in 2017, although he was later deceived by a friend. However, his achievements continued with his students performing a memorable hip-hop tribute to Milkha Singh at Aishwarya College, which earned him direct acknowledgment from the legend himself. In 2023, Kamlesh successfully organized Rajasthan Got Talent, the first reality show of its kind in Pali. The event brought together participants from across the state and attracted over 1,500 attendees, with significant support from personalities like Mahamandaleshwar Shri 1008 Dati Maharaj and MLA Gyan Chand Parakh. Shri Dati Maharaj honored Kamlesh with the title "Pride of Pali". In 2017, Kamlesh Soni FF represented India at the World Puppet Carnival in Thailand, where he emerged as a winner, showcasing his exceptional talent. This achievement marked a proud moment for Rajasthan on the global stage.

Community Service and COVID-19 Contributions

During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, Kamlesh displayed his commitment to social service by distributing ration packages to underprivileged families and supporting frontline COVID warriors. He also conducted online dance classes, ensuring the continuity of his commitment to art and community even during challenging times. In 2022, he organized the Seva Parmo Dharma program to honor sanitation workers, doctors, social workers, and COVID warriors, attended by MLA Gyan Chand Parakh and other dignitaries.

Achievements in 2024

Kamlesh Soni FF's dedication continues with remarkable projects in 2024. He organized Pali’s largest Garba event, attracting over 5,500 participants, showcasing his commitment to community engagement and celebration. Additionally, he was selected to represent India in the World Dance Competition, a proud moment for his community. His achievements earned him a district-level honor from the Pali district administration.
