Mir Qurram Ali, an influential political leader and activist, has dedicated his life to serving the people of Telangana through his unwavering commitment to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party. From a young age, he was inspired by the visionary leadership of KCR sir, which ignited his passion for politics. Joining the TRS party at the tender age of 12, he embarked on a journey that would shape his life's purpose.

Early Life and Background

Mir Qurram Ali was born on January 8, 1998, in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Hailing from an upper-caste Muslim community in the historic Charminar area, he received his early education at IZM Boys High School in Yakutpura. Later, he moved to Fountain Head High School for his 10th SSC exams and pursued his 11th and 12th grades at Agrawal Junior College (AJC), where he became the president of the AJC Student Union.

Career

Mir Qurram Ali's political journey began in 2012 when he joined the TRS Students wing as a student leader while still in the 9th grade. He quickly rose through the ranks, and in 2014, he earned the honor of being elected as the Class Representative of Agrawal Jr College under the Charminar Constituency.

His dedication to the TRS party and its principles led to his appointment as the TRSV AJC President, where he passionately served the cause of the party. In the 2014 MLA Elections, he played a crucial role as the TRSV Charminar Coordinator, and later, he joined the TRSV OU team to support the honorable Harish Rao sir.

Mir Qurram Ali's commitment extended to the 2018 MLA Elections, where he actively supported the TRS party candidate in the Badhurpura Constituency. In 2020, he actively participated in the GHMC elections, tirelessly working in Yakutpura, Charminar, and Badhurpura, exemplifying his dedication to the TRS party.

Awards and Recognition

Mir Qurram Ali's relentless pursuit of justice and progress for students and medical colleges earned him admiration and recognition. He faced numerous arrests, over 50 times, for standing up against issues such as the NRC/CAA, fuel, diesel, and gas price hikes, and anti-farmer laws.

Politics

Mir Qurram Ali's affiliation with the TRS party and his involvement in student politics led him to become the first TRSV member to become president of the AJC students' union, defeating candidates from various other student associations. Over the years, he has been actively engaged in organizing and participating in numerous programs and protests called by the TRS party.

He has been a leading force in various campaigns, including the No Drugs Campaign, Anti-NRC and CAA Campaign, and protests against anti-farmer bills. Additionally, he passionately advocates for the welfare of students, demanding better facilities and educational opportunities.

In addition to his involvement with the TRS party, Mir Qurram Ali has played significant roles in various organizations and media outlets. He is the Founder and National President of Vidyarthi Seva Dal (VSD) and the National Convenor of the Students wing in Bhartiya Muslim Leadership Conference. Furthermore, he serves as the Owner and Editor-in-chief of Wake Up Telangana, an English daily newspaper, and also holds the position of Editor-in-chief at NT News Agency and News Channel.

Mir Qurram Ali's influential presence and dedication have earned him the title of a younger youth icon from the Old City of Charminar. His tireless efforts in politics, social activism, and journalism have made him a prominent figure, and he continues to be an inspiration for the youth of Telangana.
