Prashant Daebak (born 7 October 1993, Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India), originally named Prashant Pandey, is an Indian entrepreneur and artificial intelligence specialist. He is widely recognized as the founder and CEO of Orkbe, a global recruitment and learning platform powered by AI. Daebak gained attention for pioneering the concept of “1000-second interview scheduling,” a model that redefines speed and efficiency in hiring processes. His career blends advanced AI innovation with a vision to solve global employment challenges.

Early Life and Education

Prashant Daebak was born in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. From an early age, he demonstrated a deep fascination with computers and problem-solving, later gravitating toward artificial intelligence during his teenage years.

His academic journey spanned multiple prestigious universities:

  • Harvard University – Graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
  • University of Aberdeen (UK) – Pursued a PhD in Machine Learning, later discontinued to explore entrepreneurship.
  • National University of Singapore (NUS) – Completed a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, with a dissertation focused on large-scale recruitment systems.
  • MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) – Attended advanced executive courses in Entrepreneurship and Computational Systems.
  • Stanford University – Joined a research fellowship in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Human–AI Interaction.

This global academic exposure gave him technical expertise while nurturing his entrepreneurial vision.

Career

After finishing his studies, Daebak explored various AI-driven technology projects before dedicating himself to addressing inefficiencies in recruitment.

In 2022, he began experimenting with AI-powered instant hiring systems. His early prototypes ran on basic CPUs, and during this period, he reportedly overused and exhausted more than 20 processors due to heavy training cycles. Despite setbacks, his persistence allowed him to refine both system design and recruitment algorithms.

This effort culminated in the launch of Orkbe in 2025, an AI-powered recruitment and skill development platform.

Under Daebak’s leadership, Orkbe introduced several groundbreaking features:

  • 1000-Second Interview Scheduling – Connects job seekers and recruiters in less than 17 minutes.
  • AI Career Toolkit – Includes resume optimizer, salary negotiation assistant, interview simulator, and LinkedIn profile enhancer.
  • Orkbe Learning – AI-driven e-learning and certification service, offering personalized skill development pathways.
  • Refund in 1000 Seconds – A unique guarantee promising immediate recruiter connections or a money-back refund.

The official global launch of Orkbe is set for 7 October 2025, coinciding with Daebak’s 32nd birthday, at a technology hub in Gurgaon, India.

Vision

Prashant Daebak has consistently expressed his mission as “solving the job problem in 1000 seconds.” His vision for Orkbe is not limited to recruitment but extends to reshaping the global workforce ecosystem by combining employment access with lifelong learning.

He aims to expand Orkbe’s reach to over one billion people worldwide, positioning it as a platform that bridges job connectivity with future-ready skills.

Personal Life

Daebak openly admires entrepreneur Elon Musk, acknowledging him as a role model in his entrepreneurial journey. He often attributes his successes to what he describes as “Mahadev’s blessings.”

Apart from his professional ventures, Daebak has been actively engaged in social service initiatives, such as organizing free job placement drives for unemployed youth and contributing grocery donations to underserved communities.
