As the Founder & CEO of the Global Child Prodigy Awards (GCPA), Prashant leads a groundbreaking initiative annually recognising and honouring the top 100 child prodigies from over 190 countries across various fields. He envisions the GCPA as a global community that empowers child prodigies, providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to unleash their full potential and make a positive impact on the world. Additionally, Prashant's commitment to empowering the youth is evident in his role as the Google Student Ambassador for India, and Point of Contact India of the Google crowdsource community, where he actively promoted Google initiatives in over 200 educational institutes both domestically and globally. Early Life and Background
Hailing from Panditpur in Buxar, Bihar, Prashant Kumar Pandey was born in Jammu as part of a defence family. Due to his father's service in the Indian Army, his childhood was spent in various parts of India, exposing him to a range of cultures and experiences. Prashant exhibited a deep passion for poetry from a young age, a talent that won him numerous accolades and the affectionate nickname 'Kaviji'. This early interest in creative expression hints at the innovative mindset that he would bring to his later entrepreneurial endeavours.
He received his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya in New Cantt, Allahabad, where his intellectual curiosity was nurtured. Following this, he pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Sathyabama University in Chennai, further refining his skills and laying the foundation for his future career.
Career
Student Leadership
During his university years, Pandey was an active student leader, organising several events and workshops. In August 2014, he was appointed Google Student Ambassador for India and subsequently founded the Google Student Club at Sathyabama University. He organised more than 60 national and international seminars and workshops during his tenure. In 2015, he served as Vice-Chairman of the IEEE Computer Society and as a Core Committee Member of IYONS (International Youth NGOs Summit), promoting social change on a global scale.
Entrepreneurial Journey
After graduation, Pandey turned down several job offers from multinationals to start his own venture. In 2016, he co-founded 365 Days Event, an event venture that organised numerous successful events nationwide. He is also a Core Team Member of the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, organising events under the foundation's banner.
