Nawazi Painting
In 2019, Sahanawaz Hussain introduced Nawazi Painting, a groundbreaking form of modern visual art that originated from Murshidabad, West Bengal. The term "Nawazi" is derived from his own name, signifying a personal connection to this innovative art style. Nawazi paintings are known for their vibrant colors, symbolizing beauty, love, and energy. They often depict birds and animals, reflecting the artist's deep affection for nature. Utilizing geometric patterns like squares, triangles, rectangles, cubes, and more, Sahanawaz masterfully shapes different animals and birds, capturing their essence through a wide array of colors. The paintings are bordered with colorful lines, adding to their aesthetic appeal. The intricate use of geometric patterns challenges the viewer's perception, requiring closer examination to fully grasp the artwork's essence. Nawazi paintings are created on various surfaces, including walls, canvas, paper, clay pots, wooden crafts, bamboo crafts, and jute bags, all using acrylic as the medium. Sahanawaz's unique art form can be traced back to geometric abstract expressionism, highlighting the influence of geometric art on his creations.
