Tarang Chawla (born December 30, 2002) is an Indian entrepreneur, creative strategist, and brand architect best known as the founder of Mogedochi, a disruptive marketing and storytelling firm. Known for his unconventional methods, Chawla has redefined brand-building in the digital age by combining psychology, performance marketing, and immersive storytelling.

Early Life and Background

Tarang Chawla was born and raised in Delhi, India. From an early age, he displayed a unique curiosity toward storytelling, branding, and visual creativity. He often explored offbeat interests such as design psychology, brand behavior, and digital advertising at a time when most of his peers were focused on traditional career paths.

Chawla enrolled at the Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, where he humorously refers to having “professionally lost interest” in conventional education. He later joined Arena Animation, where he began exploring animation, graphic design, and brand dynamics, laying the foundation for his creative journey.

Much of Tarang’s expertise came from self-learning watching YouTube tutorials, dissecting campaigns from global agencies, and experimenting with storytelling formats.

Career Beginnings – From Freelancer to Brand Consultant

Tarang Chawla started his career as a freelancer, working independently with minimal resources just a Canva subscription, a second-hand laptop, and his storytelling instincts. He began taking on branding projects for startups and gradually collaborated with prominent brands such as:

  • Samsung
  • KFC
  • Dabur
  • Limca Sportz
  • Vistara

Many of these collaborations came through agencies like Ogilvy, but Tarang’s role as a creative problem solver was evident in the success of the campaigns he contributed to. His early success as a freelance creative strategist helped him build credibility in a highly competitive industry.

Mogedochi – Disrupting the Marketing Industry

In 2024, Tarang Chawla officially launched Mogedochi, a creative marketing firm unlike any traditional agency. Mogedochi quickly gained attention for its anti-mainstream approach: no influencer tie-ups, no paid media, no PR campaigns just results.

Key Highlights of Mogedochi:

  • Scaled 89+ brands within the first 8 months
  • Focused on conversion-oriented storytelling
  • Built entirely through organic growth and referrals
  • Operated as a "creative cult" and performance lab rather than a traditional agency

Mogedochi specializes in brand identity design, content marketing, performance storytelling, and scroll-stopping campaigns that blend strategy with deep consumer psychology.

Tarang refers to Mogedochi as the "first draft of a creative multiverse" a prototype of a larger vision to merge branding with immersive experiences and narrative loops.

Other Ventures – hawlca and Beyond

In addition to Mogedochi, Tarang Chawla is also the founder of hawlca, a toy and lifestyle brand currently in stealth mode. While little is publicly revealed, hawlca is expected to challenge conventional product branding through interactive experiences and narrative-driven packaging.

His other experimental projects include conceptual work in scent-based marketing, gamified advertising, and fictional universe branding.

Marketing Philosophy and Strategy

Tarang’s philosophy is rooted in clarity, originality, and disruption. He actively opposes industry clichés like recycled aesthetics, fluff-heavy decks, and buzzword marketing.

“Don’t build an agency. Build an entity. One that people remember, not just hire.”

Key Beliefs:

  • Originality over imitation – avoid Pinterest-level creativity
  • Results over vanity – focus on ROAS, not just reach
  • Creative psychology – understand why people scroll, click, and convert
  • No noise, just impact – he believes great marketing doesn’t shout, it resonates

He often mentors early-stage founders and creators, offering unconventional advice rooted in boldness and authenticity.

Recognition and Media Silence Strategy

Unlike many digital entrepreneurs, Tarang Chawla intentionally stayed away from early media exposure. He rejected awards, press coverage, and social media validation to focus on building substance over visibility. Intentionally stayed away from media and awards to build quietly, through results — not headlines.

“No blue tick. No Forbes 30. No ‘humbled to share’ post. Just case studies.”

This strategy added to the intrigue around his ventures, especially Mogedochi, which rose purely through word-of-mouth and repeat client success.

Notable Collaborations

Tarang has worked with over 100 brands ranging from industry giants to indie creators, including: 17+ Start-ups. His work spans sectors such as FMCG, fashion, tech, wellness, and lifestyle.

Vision for the Future

Tarang envisions building a multi-sensory brand ecosystem where storytelling goes beyond visuals and audio to include smell, emotion, interactivity, and choice-based narratives.

His long-term plan is to establish a branding universe that behaves like a game or a comic book layered, immersive, and constantly evolving.

He refers to Mogedochi as just the “trailer” of a larger narrative. The full release, he hints, could appear in the form of interactive comics, short films, or physical experiences possibly by 2028.

Social Impact and Ethical Branding

Tarang actively supports clean startups, ethical design, and socially rooted brands. He collaborates with organizations like Punar Jagran Samiti, and often offers strategic support to underrepresented creators and brands from small towns.

He promotes ethical branding practices that avoid manipulation, exploitation, or cultural insensitivity.
